Can I swap a POL BBQ bottle for an LCC27 bottle?
Yes. If you currently have a standard POL BBQ cylinder but want an LCC27 cylinder, simply order the 8.5kg LCC27 BBQ gas swap. We will exchange your existing bottle for an LCC27 bottle.
What is the difference between a POL and LCC27 BBQ valve?
POL and LCC27 are different BBQ cylinder connection types. Your BBQ hose and appliance determine which valve connection you need.
If you are unsure which valve your BBQ uses, check the connection on your existing gas bottle and hose before ordering. Gas Guyz also provides a visual guide to help you identify and connect your BBQ appliance correctly.
Why does my BBQ gas bottle valve look different?
The Australian LPG industry has been transitioning to a newer, safer LPG valve. During the transition period, you may see both older and newer valve types.

What valve will I receive with my standard BBQ gas swap?
For our standard exchange, we currently exchange bottles with the POL valve type as the bottle being collected.
If you specifically want to change from a standard POL bottle to an LCC27 bottle, order the 8.5kg LCC27 BBQ gas swap.
Can I use an 8.5kg BBQ gas bottle for appliances other than a BBQ?
Yes. 8.5kg LPG cylinders can be used for a range of applications including BBQs, outdoor heaters, camping and caravanning, provided the cylinder and connection are suitable for the appliance.
What if I don't have an empty bottle to swap?
No problem. If you don't have a cylinder to exchange, you can purchase a new 8.5kg gas cylinder with gas from Gas Guyz.
Where should I leave my empty BBQ gas bottle?
Your empty cylinder should be placed somewhere accessible to our delivery driver. Common locations include your front porch or next to your bins.
If there are specific instructions for finding your cylinder, add them to the delivery instructions when placing your order.
When will my 8.5kg BBQ gas swap be delivered?
Orders placed before midnight are delivered the following business day, Monday to Friday.
Please make sure your empty cylinder is outside and accessible to our driver.
